About Me

I became a counsellor in my early 40s after a rewarding career in organizational development and project management that involved many fields - health care, mental health, post-secondary, emergency management, and fire services.

One of my most important qualities as a counsellor is that I walk the talk. This means that I research and trial the techniques and skills that I bring forward during counselling. I am real and practical with clients; I know that life and healing work can be challenging to integrate at times and as such, I work with clients on realistic solutions. When appropriate, I also bring some levity to counselling and clients can anticipate laughter and tears. I am a natural healer and as such draw on my intuition, alongside best practices, when working with clients.

What to Expect

During counselling, clients will experience focused and compassionate listening. I will help clients deepen their awareness around issues and challenges which will inform solutions and promote healing. When welcomed, I will teach clients skills to enhance their ability to regulate and cope with life’s ups and downs. I am pragmatic and as such can effectively support clients with goal setting, goal achieving, and making changes. I am a trauma informed counsellor and can help clients heal the tough behaviours and triggers/reactions that result from traumatic experiences and/or difficult childhoods. I take a holistic perspective to health and healing that considers the body, mind, environment, relationships, and when a fit for the client, their spiritual world.

Please book a complimentary consultation with me (20 minutes online via video conferencing) - through this consultation we will briefly learn about each other and get a feel for fit.

If you decide to work with me - counselling sessions are $130. per 50 minutes or $65. per half hour.

I am available both online and in-person. My in-person office is located in Anmore (please contact me directly via email or phone for bookings and address).  Often clients select a hybrid model of some in-person and some online sessions.

Note - Many extended health plans cover clinical counselling. Please check with your provider.

Let's work together.
